The online awards ceremony was held in Singapore on November 23.

Held for the first time in a virtual format, the award ceremony honored the companies that made it to the Forbes Asia 200 Best Under A Billion list, which highlights the 200 leading public companies in the Asia-Pacific region with annual revenue under $1 billion.

Forbes Asia’s Best Under A Billion list celebrates the success of high achievers of the region across different industries. These inductees are selected from a universe of 18,000 publicly traded companies in the Asia-Pacific region with annual revenue above $10 million and below $1 billion. Aside from quantitative criteria, qualitative screens were used as well, such as excluding companies with serious governance issues, questionable accounting, environmental concerns, management issues or legal troubles. State-controlled and subsidiary companies were also omitted.

Cen Group vice chairman Pham Thanh Hung and delegates of 200 firms and companies in the Asia-Pacific were honored by Forbes as "Asia's 200 Best Under A Billion".

Forbes Asia stated that this year's list incorporated the companies' overall track record in measures such as debt, sales and earnings-per-share growth over both the most recent fiscal one- and three-year periods, and the strongest one- and five-year average returns on equity.

Cen Land beats thousands of candidates when the company was assessed for profitability, revenues and indebtedness. Despite the COVID-19 lockdown, from the outset of this year, Cen Land has achieved breakthroughs thanks to timely and quick response. For small and medium companies, the COVID-19 is so challenging that firms must have flexible business strategies and strong potential.

Recently, Cen Land has won the Dot Property Vietnam Awards 2020 for Vietnam’s Best Real Estate Agencies and Vietnam’s Best Property Consultancy Firms.
